At the recent funeral for Jennifer Garner’s father, William “Billy” Jack Garner, the former couple’s 15-year-old child introduced themselves using the name Fin Affleck.
“Hello, my name is Fin Affleck,” Fin said before reading a Bible verse during the memorial service for their grandfather, who passed away in March at age 85.
This appears to be the first public confirmation of Fin’s new name and use of the gender-neutral pronouns they/them. Fin, who sported a buzzcut and suit, is one of three children Affleck and Garner share along with Violet, 18, and Samuel, 12.
Garner had announced her father’s passing in a heartfelt Instagram tribute, calling him a man of “quiet strength” and thanking him for being an “ever patient girl dad.”
Since then, Fin has been spotted out publicly accompanying their mother Jennifer Garner, such as meeting her at a nail salon while dressed casually.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner married in 2005 but divorced in 2018 after separating three years prior. Affleck has since being remarried to Jennifer Lopez.
