Following his many legal battles, Donald Trump recently took the stage at a massive rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, on Saturday. There, the former president dropped scathing remarks about President Joe Biden, while also dismissing the charges brought against him as a “Biden show trial” orchestrated to undermine his 2024 campaign.
Addressing a “mega crowd” estimated between 80,000 and 100,000 attendees, as reported by the Associated Press, Trump lashed out at Biden, labeling him a “total moron” and “not a smart man.”
“He’s a fool. I talk about him differently now because now the gloves are off.”
Anti-Trump protesters were among those gathered in Wildwood, demonstrating against the former president’s stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Israel’s involvement in recent violence in Gaza. However, their voices were drowned out by the deafening roar of Trump’s supporters who donned “Never Surrender” shirts.
According to Rep. Jeff Van Drew, the recent rally is the largest political gathering in New Jersey’s history. The event allowed Trump, who has been in and out of court due to felony charges, to rally his devoted base and characterize the proceedings as a coordinated effort to thwart his political aspirations.
While a judge’s gag order limits Trump’s ability to comment on specific trial details, he did not hold back in attacking the judge and district attorney overseeing the New York hush money case. He branded the judge as “highly conflicted” and accused the district attorney of “doing the bidding for crooked Joe Biden,” despite the case being brought by local prosecutors without involvement from the White House or Justice Department.
He claims Democrats are weaponizing the justice system against him, setting up a bitter partisan fight in the months ahead.
